The Decimal vision, ‘to revolutionise the fashion and design practice’ has been a gradual mental construction in the heart and mind of its creator, Thuy Nguyen for many years and finally, has materialised into a tangible existence. 

As early as from a tender age of 9, Thuy took the initiative of designing, creating, and selling Barbie Doll clothes to her wealthy classmates for monetary returns, that she then exchanged for sweets at the local corner store! Several decades on, after immersing herself through fashion studies, working deeply in many facets of the industry, teaching fashion students, nurturing and consulting emerging fashion businesses, running workshops and design development services, and concurrently observing the convoluted evolution of the industry, it is not a surprise, but rather a curiosity why she now finds herself committed to executing her very own label. Why now, when the world offers more clothing than the landfill it generates, and the digital age revolutionises the way forward for fashion is, an NFT (Non-Fungible Token)?!

It turns out that these are the very reasons that inspired Thuy to forge forward with her vision, where innovation does not have to equate to a detachment of human sentiments, and crafting fashionable creations extends to a purpose beyond producing another garment to wear and discard. With her inherent flair for the design and development of apparel and an accumulation of years of industry experience, she is on a venture to remodel and transform the fashion system through her brand, Decimal. 

Decimal the Label is conceived to recapture, and present fashion as wearable art pieces that evokes an aspiration for creativity and inspire conversation and connection. Where a desire for unity of different people is expressed through the Decimal translation of unity through composition, with the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Where designs fuse harmoniously with one another when a connection is made. 

The concept presents a refined base design with its distinct characteristics and offers other elements, attachments, and features for wearers to craft their own unique fashion expressions.
